Close contacts of confirmed Omicron cases will no longer have to quarantine for 14 days in the ACT.

As of midnight tonight, Omicron close contacts will be treated the same as all other close contacts, and only have to isolate for seven days.

The territory has also removed the additional quarantine requirements for international travellers from eight African countries of concern.

Arrivals from South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini and Malawi will now only have to quarantine for three days, the same as all other overseas arrivals.
