BAFTAs 2022 best red carpet looks – braless gown to completely see-through dress

After two years of restricted attendance at one of the biggest awards ceremonies of the year, stars are gathering for the 75th EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), marking the long-waited return to a full-capacity in-person ceremony.

It’s fair to say that last year’s celebration was a subdued event as many of the nominees and winners chose to tune in via video link amid the tight restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

But many big names are thought to be in attendance at the Royal Albert Hall for Sunday (March 13) night’s show which will be hosted by Australian bombshell Rebel Wilson.

Among the epic pictures nominated for the prestigious awards are the popular sci-fi saga Dune, the intense western The Power of the Dog and Sir Kenneth Branagh’s autobiographical film Belfast.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Lady Gaga, Daniel Kaluuya, Emma Watson, Rege Jean-Page, Tom Hiddleston and Millie Bobby Brown are just a handful of the celebs expected to attend the star-studded event.

And it’s clear to see the stars have made sure to dress to impress as we take a look at some of the hottest outfits to grace the red carpet.

Joining Rebel Wilson on this year’s presenting team is none other than stand-up comic Tom Allen and Strictly Come Dancing finalist AJ Odudu.

And the northern lass made sure to dress up to the nines as she sizzled in a black barely-there gown which featured a jaw-dropping neckline that plunged down to her naval decorated with intricate diamante feather detailing.

The dress was teamed with a floor-length black sequin skirt which included a slit down the back of the dress which was completes with a black tulle train to add an extra level of drama to her impressive gown.

She accessorised her outfit with a pair of gold bangles and matching hoop earrings which she teamed with a silver diamond choker which she showcased when she brushed her sleek long locks over her shoulder.

Florence Pugh

Florence looked elegant as ever

But AJ Odudu wasn’t the only star to rock an epic train on the red carpet, as actress Florence Pugh strutted her stuff down the catwalk in an elegant black minidress.

The gorgeous garment featured strong shoulder pads on her long-sleeved dress which brought a whole new meaning to the phrase business at the front, party at the back.

Her breath-taking garment included a dramatic pink tulle train at the back which commanded attention to her elegant long legs as she added a simple pair of black strappy heels to the look.

She accessorised her ensemble with a slew of silver rings which complemented her simple silver chain choker and matching silver dangly earrings.

Jessica Plummer

Jessica went braless under her striking gown

EastEnders star Jessica Plummer was dressed to kill at the Prestigeous as she rocked a breath-taking little black dress on the red carpet.

The soap star’s floor-length dress featured a dramatic square neckline that showcased her ample assets while the black silk garment clung to her hourglass figure as she posed for pictures.

She accessorised her beautiful black dress with a beautiful yellow and blue ribbon which she pinned to her dress to show her support against the ongoing conflict in Ukraine in addition to a simple gold bangle and various gold rings.

And the star made sure to adopt a similarly dramatic eye look for the red carpet as she donned a seductive brown smoky eye while she threw a sultry gaze to the camera.

Laura Whitmore

Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore practically glowed on the red carpet as she donned an effortlessly beautiful yellow floor-length gown for the star-studded event.

The blonde bombshell poured her killer curves into the skin-tight garment which included a plunging neckline that barely contained her ample assets.

She accessorised the breath-taking gown with a simple black clutch handbag and a fabulous slew of gold rings that complimented her delicate silver pendant necklace and dangly earrings.

The new mum channelled the classic Old Hollywood style as she curled her long blonde locks into beautiful beachy waves which she teamed with a swipe of bright red lipstick.

Singer-turned-actress Lady Gaga wowed on the red carpet as she showcased her effortless hourglass figure in a sizzling skin-tight forest green gown which featured an elegant train following behind her.

The starlet is always one to watch at highly-anticipated awards shows with many of her daring looks immortalised in Hollywood history, including her 2010 meat dress at the VMAs and her beautiful lilac gown which she walked down the red carpet on horseback.

And the Italian singer has managed to blow viewers away once again as she accessorised the beautiful dress with a jaw-dropping pair of towering black high heels and a complimentary dark green feather clutch bag.

She added a slew of gorgeous silver and emerald jewellery to her outfit including an eye-popping pendant necklace with matching dangly earrings in addition to a statement filver bracelet.
