‘Bodies’ found in burnt out car in Coogee, WA


Firefighters are believed to have found three bodies inside a burnt out vehicle at a beachside car park in Perth.

The red hatchback was found just after midday in the John Graham Reserve in Coogee in the city’s south.

One witnesses told 9News they heard disturbing sounds that sounded like gunfire just moments before the fire.

WA Police said they are “investigating the circumstances surrounding a car fire in Coogee, where at least one person has been located deceased.” (Nine)

It is understood three bodies were found inside, however in an official statement WA Police only confirmed “at least one person has been located deceased”.

“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a car fire in Coogee,” they said.

The nearby road, Nyyerbup Circle, remains closed while police continue to work through the night.

Most walking trails within the Woodman Point Reserve area, a popular picnic spot, are also blocked off.
