McKay kicks his second
The Blues are dominating the start of this second term finding Harry McKay who marked in the right pocket before kicking his second goal.
There was a roar as he let that kick go, the Blues are up and about.

Cripps kicks his second
Excellent team goal from Carlton who kept the ball trapped in their forward line and had Williams send a kick into the arc then had several Blues combine handballs before finding Cripps who snapped from 20m out.

Cripps is back with bandages
Cripps has bandages all around his head after that head clash but he had won the ball from an early stoppage so it doesn’t seem to be limiting him.

The Blues have got the best of the first quarter and lead at the first break but all eyes are on whether Patrick Cripps has any other issues beyond the cut on his eyebrow after a head-clash with Charlie Curnow.
Cripps was best on ground by a mile with double-figure possessions and a goal before he left for stitches late in the quarter.

The Dogs are dangerous and Anthony Scott’s late goal was crucial to keep this close. Let’s see if the Dogs can have some joy defensively in the second term.
Scott goals on his return
Anthony Scott missed out on the grand final and on round one but he is back in the Bulldogs’ side for this week and has taken a diving mark and then kicked the goal to give his side a much-needed major.

Cripps off with blood rule
Patrick Cripps has clashed heads with Charlie Curnow and been forced to leave the field with blood running from his eye brow.
Cripps still got the handball away and ran off under his own steam so the Blues will hope he doesn’t have any concussion issues.
He has gone to the rooms for some stitches, Curnow seems OK.
Cripps pushes lead back out
Patrick Cripps kicked three goals last round and he has come up with a first-term goal tonight kicking truly from about 40m out on the angle.
He had the free-kick due to an exceptional tackle from behind to force a holding the ball decision.
Cripps has 11 disposals so far.
