Drag Race UK star A’Whora slams show’s ‘toxic’ trolls over their online behaviour

Drag Race UK star A’Whora has branded the show’s fans “toxic” over the way they behave online.

The performer is fed up by how abusive some of them are on social media.

After finding fame on the show in 2020, she got so much nastiness she needed therapy sessions to cope.

A’Whora, said: “I got constant death threats and hate and awful stuff. Drag Race has the most toxic and manipulative fanbase ever. Everyone in the Drag Race world will say that because it is the truth.

“A lot of them are kids who don’t have a filter and don’t understand the world. They just want to come for the contestants.

The star complained that she is “constantly cancelled”

“They don’t think we’re people and they don’t understand the repercussions of a tweet they wrote as an afterthought. It can affect someone and tarnish them as a person.”

A’Whora fears negativity from Drag Race fans could mean she misses out on work.

She added: “You can’t control what people put online. I’ll make one mistake and it’s tweeted about. I am constantly cancelled. It has affected my career.

“I didn’t get any training on what I can and can’t say.
A’Whora also revealed that she is subject to death threats

“Since doing Drag Race there have been times when I spent weeks not wanting to get out of bed. I had to go through therapy and treatment just to deal with it.

“I didn’t get any training on what I can and can’t say. I’m still learning. People change.”

Just this week Blu Hydrangea is getting abuse on social media for voting off a rival on spin-off Drag Race UK vs The World. It’s madness.

By all means post your opinions, but there’s no need to get abusive.

This news comes after Michelle Keegan made her first appearance as a judge on Drag Race UK vs The World.

The former Coronation Street beauty, 34, posted a snap on Instagram showing her getting ready to take her seat at the judging table.

“Get your heels on… let’s go!” the actress wrote alongside the pic of her buckling up her strappy sandals.
