Freeman presents grieving Iglesias a shoulder to lean on

DENVER (AP) — Freddie Freeman’s largest play at first base within the season opener might have been providing a supportive shoulder. The new Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman knew all too properly the sentiments Colorado’s José Iglesias was experiencing after Iglesias just lately misplaced his father. After reaching on a run-scoring single Friday, Iglesias pointed to the sky as he was overcome by emotion. Iglesias opened as much as Freeman about how he had misplaced his dad, who had seen just about each huge league hit till this one. It was an immediate bond. Freeman misplaced his mother to pores and skin most cancers when he was 10.
