Man dies after being hit by truck on Sydney’s north shore


A man has died after being hit by a truck on Sydney’s north shore.

Emergency services were called to Fullers Road, at the intersection of Park Avenue, in Chatswood about 4.45pm on Wednesday.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man but he died at the scene.

His body was covered by a blue sheet in the middle of the road, where a crime scene has been established.

The 33-year-old male truck driver, who was uninjured, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Fullers Road was closed in both directions between the Pacific Highway and Lady Game Drive.

Traffic conditions were heavy in the area on Wednesday night and the Transport Management Centre advised motorists to use diversions and allow extra travel time.

Police are appealing for public assistance and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
