Labor aged care spokeswoman Clare O’Neil is accusing the Coalition of mendacity about its aged care coverage.

Social Services Minister Anne Ruston stated yesterday that the Coalition was additionally backing Labor’s pledge to ship nurses in aged care services 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

“We have accepted the recommendation of the royal commission for nursing staff to be on premises 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” Ruston instructed Sky News.

However, O’Neil instructed Sky News this morning the Coalition should make clear its place.

“The truth is that Anne Ruston, the relevant minister, came onto your show yesterday and told the Australian people a lie,” she stated.
