It was an honor to attend the gorgeous, heart-wrenching memorial for Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha on April 4 (“‘Never forgotten’: Memorial honors slain Everett police officer,” The Herald, April 4).
As we waited to get inside the world, we stood close to uniformed cops from many elements of the nation, in addition to all through our State. The phrases from our Everett mayor, Cassie Franklin “This tragedy has shaken our community to its core,” are so true.
Police officers are important in our communities and so they want our ongoing help and respect. They spend day-after-day doing an awesome job guarding our lives and property, usually in danger to themselves. Take time to allow them to know you recognize their efforts!
